Dr. Balabhai Nanavati Hospital is a hospital in Vile Parle, Mumbai which was inaugurated by Jawaharlal Nehru in November 1950 and opened in May 1951.
The foundation stone at Dr. Balabhai Nanavati Hospital was laid by the Prime Minister Mr. Jawaharlal Nehru in November 1950, and the hospital opened its doors to its first patient in May 1951.
Nanavati Hospital has grown from a 50-bed facility in a single building, to over 5 buildings housing 450 beds, and offers services in practically every field of modern medicine and health care. Today over 170 consultants, supported by a large nursing, paramedical and technical staff, run its 42 departments.
The Hospital is located on Swami Vivekanand Road, Vile Parle (West).
